Once upon a time,
Hybrids and Humans got along together peacefully. It was not so long ago that Hybrids were able to expose themselves to the public as acceptable citizens. It started back when a group of heroes from a school of hybrids saved the world from destruction. It didn't take long for them to get recognition. After the world was introduced to these oddities of nature, it seemed as though everything was going to be perfect. But it wasn't long until the government released a cure for hybrids called HCD, otherwise known as Hybrid Cell Degeneration. It destroyed the hybrid cells within the subjects body, in effect, making them completely normal--human. There was uproar.
Things didn't really get back until a group of Hybrids starting fighting back against the government. The group of heroes from the gifted school tried to help restore peace to the hybrid community, but their efforts were in vain. Suddenly, the government announced that Hybrids were dangerous and not to be trusted. In time, violence against Hybrids, which the government called Mutants, ran rampant. There were hate crimes, shootings, torture, everything imaginable. Thackery Logan, the leader of the hybrids decided to take action to ensure their survival.
The year is now 2025, and it has been 15 years since the government turned on the hybrids. The violence has only risen higher and higher. Just recently, it hit an all time high. A human who was cured of being a hybrid, who worked for the government, spilled the secret of where the other hybrids were hiding, within a school for hybrids, disguised as a high school. Thackery Logan decided that they had to escape as soon as possible.
That was when it hit. Hundreds of military men broke into the school and raided everyone's rooms, killing hybrids left and right. Thackery was at first unaware, but was then awoken by his son, Zackary Logan, who told him of the happenings within the school. The two of them launched a plan to get their friends and brothers out of the school and into a new, safe location. Unfortunately, Thackery didn't make it out. Against Zackary's pleads for him not to, Thackery sacrificed himself for the sake of their escape after they found an abandoned university on the other side of Zypher City.
Zackary had the power of illusion. Once they found the university, he used his power to disguise the school as just a rundown university, but if you were a hybrid, you knew that once you stepped into the school doors, you were transported into a different dimension that held the beautiful Zypher Academy. Hybrids could travel both in and out of the dimension, but they have to be careful when traveling in Zypher City. If they were exposed as Hybrids, they would be shot down on spot.
At one time, Hybrids were becoming a normal part of society, but now, they were hunted down and slaughtered. Zackary Logan, now entrusted with the large group of oddities of nature, must keep them safe in a world that wants to exterminate them. One thing is clear. This haven will not keep them safe forever. There is a civil war happening on the outside. If Hybrids are ever to break free from this prison, they will have to choose a side and fight.
